What was suspected of being a robbery in the morning of Thursday, 7 November, on O.R. Tambo Road in Bloemfontein, was in fact an accident involving a BMW 3-Series 325is, of which the driver miraculously survived unharmed. The sedan collided head-on with a Sasko truck. According to eyewitness reports, the driver of the BMW lost control of the vehicle, which ran over a traffic island, crashing head-on with the truck. The truck was heading north, and the BMW sedan, popularly known as a “Gusheshe” across townships, was going south. Traffic was temporarily disrupted due to the accident. Photo: Teboho Setena
