Proudly South African has approximately 32 Free State companies registered as members.
This is in line with the ongoing campaign to recruit local companies to become part of the movement to produce and buy locally produced and manufactured goods to boost South Africa’s ailing economy and attempt to create sustainable employment.
Proudly South African recruits small, medium and micro enterprises (SMME). Members share a commitment to promoting social and economic change and progress.
In line with its mission and vision, the movement held a multisectoral workshop in Bloemfontein in May, targeting small businesses and entrepreneurs who manufacture and sell products in the province.
In the Free State, the movement has teamed up with the Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Destea).
Currently, clothing and textile is targeted to explore job creation.
