The Heilbron police have launched a manhunt for the robbers who targeted the former Free State premier, Sefora Ntombela (66), and her spouse, Madala (68). According to the police, the couple was robbed in the early hours of Monday, 4 March, on their farm, Holfontein.
Brig. Montantsi Makhele, provincial police spokesperson, said the robbers had ransacked the house looking for money, and ended up taking the couple’s cellphones, bank cards, and other items before fleeing the farm. He said the couple sustained minor injuries following the attack by the group of unknown men, between 02:00 and 03:00.
Makhele said the men had overpowered the couple after managing to enter their bedroom while they were asleep.
