More peanut butter brands have been added to the list of products to be removed from store shelves, with consumers also urged to return the listed products due to unacceptable high levels of aflatoxin.
The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has alerted the public that more peanut butter brands have been affected by the recall announced.
Pick n Pay is recalling its No Name Smooth Peanut Butter, Eden Smooth Peanut Butter and Eden Crunch Peanut Butter, which are sold throughout the country.
The other brands being removed as a matter of urgency include: Dischem’s Lifestyle 400 g Smooth and Crunchy; Dischem’s Lifestyle 800 g Smooth and Crunchy; and Wazoogles Superfoods (all sizes).
The commission has advised the public to immediately stop consuming these products and return them to the store they purchased these from for a full refund, with or without proof of purchase.
