The second leg of the Standing Against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide tournament will take place on Saturday, 17 August, at the Black Terrors Sports Field in Phahameng, Bloemfontein.
The first leg, which featured eight male masters clubs, was held on Friday, and tied in with the commemoration of National Women’s Day.
It is organised by Libra Shellhouse FC and will feature six male master football clubs.
The tournament continues recognising women for their contribution in the socio-economy and politics, as well as sports development.
The first match of this weekend’s play is set to kick-off at 09:00.
The participating teams will compete on a knockout basis to determine the semifinalists, with the two winners thereof competing for the crown in the final.
The overall winner will take home a floating trophy plus a medal, while the runner-up will receive a silver medal.
Two clubs, Rouxville Masters and Goede Masters, have withdrawn from the tournament, leaving just six to continue.
As the result of a late change in the number of participating teams, the best third-place team rule will apply.
This will help determine which one out of three clubs best qualify for the semifinal.

If teams finish with an equal amount of points, the following tiebreakers apply to decide placings:
- points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
- goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams; and
- goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams.
Clubs confirmed to be participaing are the Libra Masters, Punishment Masters, Pink House Social Club, By Hoek Masters, Dog Pound Masters, and Levi’s Masters.
