The members of the Mangaung Retired Teachers’ Association (Mareta) in Bloemfontein held a Ms and Mr Mareta contest to celebrate longevity at the St Peter’s Methodist Church Hall in Bochabela on 25 October. This was presented under the theme “Age of Elegance”. The winners are, from the left, Magari Selebano (second princess), Itumeleng Ditaunyane (first prince), Rathele Phara (Mr Mareta), Dinah Matang (Ms Mareta), Sindi Mvambi (first princess) and Belesang Matsha (second prince). About 30 candidates vied for the crown of the contest, which coincided with the celebration of World Teachers’ Day in October.
