A festival aimed at empowering aspiring entrepreneurs is set to take place on 3 and 4 May at Paradise Hall in Bochabela, Bloemfontein.
This gathering was envisioned as a means of providing a platform for entrepreneurs to learn and develop further through networking, knowledge sharing, and forming collaborations that would otherwise not be as accessible to them.
About 100 entrepreneurs are expected to showcase their products and services during the two-day festival called the Mo-Dladleng SMME Summit, which when loosely translated means “home”.
Panel discussions will be held during interactive workshops, striving towards fostering meaningful connections and collaborations among entrepreneurs, said David Mohlakoana of Mphatlalatsane Management and Training.
He said the present socio-economic conditions across the country demand that entrepreneurs be dynamic and innovative, as well as seek out collaborations to ultimately become driving forces in the province and country’s economic development. These efforts could help create opportunities to address the staggering rate of unemployment among the youth.
Young people aspiring to venture into entrepreneurship are called upon to attend, and receive important information about cultivating a culture of entrepreneurship and sustainability.
Presenters from the public-private sector will attend, showcasing the goods and services they are offering.
