Local boxers will trade the leathers in a tournament scheduled for 15 December in the Norman Doubell Hall in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.

This tournament is staged by local promoter, Dream Team Promotion, headed by Lebohang Mahoko.

Mahoko said it was fitting to stage this non-title tournament as an opportunity for local boxers to showcase their talent.

On the bill are mostly matches between South African boxers, with the odd fighter from across the border thrown into the mix.

The bouts are as follows:

  • Light heavyweight (six rounds):

Jackson Kaptein (Free State) vs Mduduzi Moyo (Zimbabwe);

  • Junior bantamweight (six rounds):

Andile Mafeka (Free State) vs Mthobisi Nkosi (Mpumalanga);

  • Middleweight (four rounds):

Mxolisi Lahliwe (Gauteng) vs Katleho Mabaso (Free State);

  • Junior middleweight (four rounds): Lebohang Senokoane (Free State) vs Dale Neethling (Free State);
