The upcoming boxing tournament scheduled to take place in Rouxville is set to go ahead on Saturday (12/08) after it was initially postponed.
The fixtures will take place at the Thabo Vuyo Secondary School, following the success of the tournament’s debut last year.
This sporting event is staged thanks to joint efforts by the Dream Team boxing promotions group and the provincial Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation.
Entrance is free, so boxing enthusiasts are all invited to attend and show the sporting fraternity some support.
Both male and female boxers will participate, generally hailing from the Free State.
The main bout in the female section is the junior lightweight division face-off between Matshidiso Mokatsane (nee Mokebisi) and Cecilia Pitiseni, while the male contest is in the junior middleweight division between Jackson Kaptein and Giresse Wingui.
