The Bloemfontein-based Mangaung Unite FC and arch-rival D’ General FC shared the spoils in their ABC Motsepe League first-round fixture played at the Clive Solomon Stadium in Bloemfontein on Friday, 22 November.

The cross-town rivals played to 1-all draw – the host Mangaung scored via veteran Moeketsi Sekola.

The Botshabelo-based D’ General bounced back, levelling matters, and held off their opponents Mangaung to draw the match.

They had met in May for a title decider for the ABC Motsepe League in the Free State, with Mangaung wining by an odd goal, 1 – 0.

The two teams have reinforced significantly in their aspirations to win the provincial championship and challenge for promotion to the country’s second-tier professional rank.
