Joy for Charity, in association with Bloem Show and Carnival Funfair, made it possible for about 410 children to have an unforgettable experience.

Scores of children from various welfare organisations and public schools were treated to the fun and excitement of joy rides on Thursday, 24 April – thus becoming the ones to open the spectacle event.

This group of children were of Engo Free State’s children’s homes, while others were of the Heidedal-based Club-X-Society, which was established 29 years ago by ten members to aid needy children.

Bloem Show hosts Joy for Charity annually and partners with various community organisations to enable children to share in the joy of the consumer exhibition.

This year’s show marks its 142nd year of existence.
