A budding model from Bloemfontein is shining a light on others as she strives to make a positive impact in the community. She does so through self-initiated charity projects and volunteering to support non-governmental bodies involved in community-building programmes.
The young Naledi Molotsi, a Gr. 8 learner at the St Elly’s Home School in Bloemfontein, has adopted the Engo Youth Centre and the children’s clinic at the Universitas Hospital. She says her dream is to study medicine to be a surgeon who specialises in working with children, and that her chosen projects help to lay a solid foundation.
Naledi hosted a tea party on 16 September as part of a charity drive in aid of the youth centre. People donated toys, food and hygiene items.
She is fully supported by her family to carry out her charity initiative and outreach programme during the December festive holiday.
Naledi hosts a series of charity initiatives aligned with celebrations such as Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day, as well as Women’s Day.
The energetic Naledi is involved in a pageantry competition and is a finalist for the Miss Pre-Teen Universe South Africa 2024 pageant, representing the Free State.
She also has interests in sport and music, participates in gymnastics and is a member of the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir (BCC).
