A group of 33 students who obtained excellent results in the programmes they completed, has received special recognition from the Motheo Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College’s management team of the Botshabelo campus. They were each presented with an excellence certificate at an event held on 5 October.
These students attained an average between 60% and 70% in the various programmes (N4 to N6), which include Human Resources Management, Business Management, Educare and Marketing Management.
Of these, 12 completed the N6 course and will walk the red carpet at a graduation ceremony next year.
Four female students, who attained 70% and 80%, received special accolades: Nosipho Mabaso, Dieketseng Motlohi, Sbahle Mteshana, and Caroline Nyama.
The overall best performer is Nyama, who attained 80% in the educare programme. The course falls within the Early Childhood Development (ECD) stream, catering for children aged six years and younger.
Currently, 700 students are enrolled at the campus.
Past. Ernest Moahluli, guest speaker, motivated the students, saying their achievement signified their desire for excellence.
“Once you start excelling, the world stops whatever it is doing and starts to pay attention, because the world feels obliged to reward your excellence,” said Moahluli.
“The college has organised this event because it feels obliged to recognise your effort and inspire you to continue excelling. People who excel, strive for quality in whatever work they do.
“They feel obliged because it is about creating a legacy, unlike those who have become populists due to the average work they always render.”
