The provincial Youth Business Pitching Competition takes place at Pacofs in Bloemfontein on Thursday, 15 February, starting at 10:00.
This is a project of the Free State Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Destea), aimed at unearthing the innovative enterprise ideas of young entrepreneurs, as well as to provide comprehensive support for sustainable business growth.
Each district winner scooped a first prize of R200 000, with the runners-up each taking R120 000 home.
The prize money is for the winners to invest in their businesses to become sustainable.
