THABA NCHU – The police in Thaba Nchu outside Bloemfontein have opened an inquest for further investigation following the bizarre death of a man while at work earlier today – Thursday 19 March. According to police, the tragic incident occurred at one of the industrial firms in Thaba Nchu in the Mangaung Metro.
The details surrounding the man’s death are sketchy. The person’s identity is yet to be revealed.
“It is alleged that the owner of the firm pulled the person outside after he passed away. Police in Thaba Nchu were called after an elderly male was found dead at an open space behind the Industrial Park. Video footage shows the victim walking towards his place of employment at about 06:00 this morning. It further shows the victim collapsing and another male attempting to assist him behind the industrial area,” says Sgt Mahlomola Kareli, spokesperson for the Free State police.
He says that personnel of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to attend to the incident, who then declared the man deceased at the scene.
