BLOEMFONTIEN – Young models within the Mangaung Metro are called upon to audition for this year’s Bloem Fashion Show, which will feature during the annual Bloem Show scheduled to take place from 23 April to 2 May.

This year’s theme is “Beach Party”, promising a vibrant atmosphere with a mix of agriculture, entertainment, and commercial exhibitions.

Casting for interested models will be conducted on 28 February in Bloemfontein. Those selected will showcase creative designs by different enterprising local designers on the runway during the Fashion Show scheduled to be held on 26 April. The organising agency, Ms World Plus pageant, is casting young male and female talent for the fashion show. This event debuted last year as a new addition to the eventful Bloem Show.

The fashion show aims to provide young designers with a chance to showcase their creative brands, access the market, and inspire entrepreneurship. Local designers made their mark at last year’s edition, showcasing collections that ranged from streetwear to modern African garments. Designers included Sherley Magqaza (ShirQreates Pty Ltd), Kgalaletso Letsoalo (K-Compass), Sivu Guda (Dezzanna Tranx), and Audrey Tladi (ASL). Creations include the Basotho royal fabric, shweshwe, and stylish summer attire such as a kimono-style garment worn with a bikini swimsuit.

The Bloem Fashion Show ties in with World Design Day, observed annually on 27 April. The global event highlights the role of pioneers in design and innovation in job creation and economic development.

Models interested in the casting can contact Chief Leeuw on 072 950 0032.
